Development phases of a shoe: grinding and sole assembly
After having tackled together the first initial phases of the development of a shoe, we have reached the stage of grinding and assembly of the sole.
What is grinding?
Grinding is an operation that is carried out with a machine which has a roller covered with fine-grained emery paper under which the shoe is passed in shape to eliminate all the excess parts of the upper, so that an homogeneous layer is created, suitable for gluing the sole.
After having leveled the front part of the shoe in the best way, the sole is assembled.
The specific glue is then passed to the soles in the front part of the shoe, which has just been leveled with the grinder, and the sole is glued to make it adhere perfectly to the part of the shoe concerned.
In case the shoe has a heel, after having leveled the front part of the shoe and having glued the sole, the heel is applied.
In this phase the shoe is still in the shape, that is a shape of the human foot, usually in recyclable plastic material.
The development phases of a shoe are all very important to obtain a perfect and quality shoe.
